Sure wish I was outside....but I gotta work to pay the bills. I just realized that my 1-year "blogaversary" rolled by on July 5th. I've seen other bloggers talk about theirs, and I thought, "Oh yea, wonder when mine is.", and here it came and went already. So here's a few dozen random photos to celebrate, from the gardener who'll literally take a picture of anything... Japanese maple leaves ("Tsukushigata")....
....daylily "Siloam June Bug"...
...another japanese maple ("Ukigumo")...
...sedum "Kamstchaticum"....
....weather at dusk, taken over my shoulder while driving (told you I'm a loon!)....
....barberry "Crimson Carousel"....
......a pretty dianthus of some sort...
...sandhill cranes.....
....white columbine (reminds me of "The Flying Nun" for some reason)....

.....sunset...I must take hundreds of these pictures-I just can't help myself (loon!)....
.....another cutesy little ditty (again because I cannot help myself)....
...some flowers are pretty even before they open! Helianthus "Lorraine Sunshine"...
....big ole' sucker! (no really, some sort of sucker/carp)...underwater pictures are harder to take very well, especially from the deck 8' above the surface....
.....purple and yellow barberries co-habitate beautifully IMO....
.....this area needs serious work, next year I'll do a makeover and add better drainage so cacti can grow well, instead of barely/not at all....

....I really like old barns and other farm buildings! Too bad they are left to just fall down in a lot of cases, but I'm sure they aren't cheap to fix up!
....spiders...love or hate them, they elicit a strong response regardless...
....bulbs are so cool....I go broke every fall...man, addictions are expensive! ;-)
......gotta love that macro.....

.....and lupines....

....wild mushrooms...
.....yellow ladyslipper...
....peony with free bonus ants!
....do spiders do this on purpose to collect water?

You gotta figure if I have a yard full of "collectibles" (junk), that I'd have a house full, too....

...oh yea....
...clouds are cool....I wanna be a meteorologist....next life, maybe.....
.....I like this little "spur" on the lupine flower. Like a high-strung model, I suppose-pretty, but watch for the knife!
....fun annual....

.......remember when beer ads were on nearly every barn/silo around? I even remember the old "Burma-Shave" signs along the highway....

......bug are having a party-need a pinata'....
....Sammy Hagar on TV...man I'm jones-ing for a concert! Maybe if I didn't blow all my cash on plants....
.....chickadees....
.....love these oddball outbuildings....

....and there we have it! Happy Anniversary to me! Now back to your regularly scheduled blog!

Happy anniversary to you! I wish I could remember my first visit to millertime. I guess it must be less than a year, but it seems like much longer. I do know I came over here from the Golden Gecko comments. I was like, "Who is this Lisa chick? She's always got something to say!" (I know I speak for everyone whose blog you visit that it's an honor to have attracted your interest because your comments and enthusiasm make the whole the blogging thing seem fun and worthwhile.)

And I really salute you as a gardener for keeping the ball in the air all winter long in your long, hard Wisconsin winter.

Well, I could gush for ever, right? :)

Happy anniversary!

Not make it *seem* fun and worthwhile, you make it fun and worthwhile!

Thank you all for the nice comments!!! It's been terrific meeting everyone in the blogosphere...I feel like I've known many of you for years, like Chuck said! You all lift my spirits regularly, and provide endless inspiration in my garden! It's so cool how internet people make you feel better when "in the flesh" people drive you nuts or just act generally bogus. You folks are absolutely ANYTHING but bogus! :)

Happy Blogiversary, Lisa! I don't remember beer ads on silos, but I do remember tobacco ads on barns when I was a kid in the 70s. Mail-Pouch Tobacco was the big one around here.

I was having Japanese maple envy until I saw your kitchen. Now I'm having Ball jar envy! I have just one of the large blue-tinged ones, but I would happily pick up more if I could find them. I so love cutting flowers from the garden to throw into that blue Ball jar.

I love those yellow eyeball fun annuals. Happy Blogslavery uhhh, Bloggerversary. You have the funniest garden blog I know of.

Oh my, the word verification was gofoqks. I thought it was swearing at me.

Leslie and Bev-thanks for the nice comments!

Bob-thanks, and I'll take you up on that wine!

Kim-I'm actually surprised that I can grow Japanese maples! They aren't big, but alive is adequate! The jars are a part of my collecting sickness...there are more that just aren't out!

Ki-thanks! Heh, I get some funny word verif's too...some even seem to go with the post topic from time to time-weird!

Oh such nice photos!
I don't mind spiders as long as they don't mind me.
and that kitty in the window is adorable.
Happy "Anniversary" you blogger you!

Thanks Becky! The cat is my son's...he does some really cute things, and I was glad to get a quick shot!

Happy Blogiversary, Lisa - you do add some punch to the garden blog world, even thought you were late to your own anniversary.

I'm way older than you so should remember beer ads on silos, but the only thing in my head is "See Rock City" on barn roofs. I'll bet if that silo were being painted today it would say "Miller Lite" instead.

Just like your photos, your collectibles are very cool. Kim may be drooling over the Ball jars, but my eye went right to the yellow earthenware-type Bowl and got stuck. I even have just the spot for it in my house!

Belated Happy Blogiversary!! (I like Annie's word!) You have such a neat blog that once I get over here, I have a hard time leaving!!! I want to read and look at everything...and I look up and two hours have gone by! Yikes! You combine fun with interesting and it is irresistible!

I think the collecting thing is rampant with us gardeners, so you're in good company!

Lol...at Ki's verification!
