They all come out at night...the tree frogs, that is! To be more specific, hyla versicolor, a.k.a. Grey Tree Frog , and I'm lucky enough to be rife with them! They hide behind my thermometer... ...and this hanging pot sporting "dreads"...
...and even in this birdhouse! Hey, I'm glad somebody is using it!

Then as darkness falls, they begin to peek out and start calling...
....and answering...

.....and of course bug catching by the garage light! Chow down, friends!

Oh, I wish I had some FROGS! We had frogs at my dad's house when I was a little kid and I very accidentally splotched one with red paint when I was painting the fence. That red splotched frog turned up for quite a few years before I stopped noticing him...

Sounds like the paint sure didn't hurt him any. I really love having these little guys around, and I'd miss them if they disappeared. I'm surprised you don't have any frogs...wonder why? I bet if you had a small water feature of some sort you'd attract them...maybe a fountain in a flowerpot or something.

Our tree frogs in Iowa are green, not sure if they all are but in my yard they are green, I love listening to them.

Lovely Lady Slipper Orchid!
