Checking in with the GROW project, here is my indoor-started nasturtium 'Spitfire'... ...and my "early outdoor sown" plant. Ironically the winter-sown seedling was killed by frost twice, and that was it. Ah well, as Meatloaf says "Two out of three ain't bad" :)

Okay- I'm just happy to see that yours aren't blooming yet- because mine aren't either!
Nah, it's too early for blooms in my climate. I started some 'Alaska Mix' naturtiums at the same time as these, and they are about the same size.
Thanks for the update! Mine aren't blooming either but it won't be long before they do.
As usual, your ingenuity amazes me!
Here's hoping for tons of veggies and no stealthy deer attacks!
Btw, your yard does not look junky to me! It looks like a yard with very functional yard art.
Just my style. :)
Your compost is beautiful - rich and black. That should make for some happy plants!

MBT-I'm glad that my plants aren't too far behind yours.
V-Thank you very much!
I'm a little behind with keeping up with the rest of y'all. But I planted mine around the same time, just haven't posted progress in a while (check out today's update). From what I'm seeing none are all that vigorous and most don't seem to be climbing at all. I'm allowing mine to trail out of a pot on a pedestal, and I'm not very impressed with its growth habit. We'll see what happens as it continues the course it's on. I set out more seeds today.
In my yard, the nasturtiums are having quite a "foot race": I indoor and winter-sowed both 'Spitfire' and 'Alaska Mix'. After a quick start, the 'Alaska Mix' kinda stalled. The 'Spitfire' started slowly, yet rallied in the past week to really surge ahead of the others. But no blooms anywhere (I'm zone 4). The proof is in the results, for sure!
