The good news is: my wintersown nasturtium has re-sprouted...
....the bad news is: none of the others have. Not these recently "direct-sown" seeds, nor the indoor-under-lights-seeds.

(It hung the last time I tried to comment, so excuse if you get this comment twice!)
You had very similar experiences to mine. I'm definitely going to pre-soak the seeds next time I try them.
Your post reminds me of the theme song to Facts of Life, though (You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have...) (Nothing cures an earworm like passing it around!)
I'm glad you persisted with your comment, blogger can be a snot sometimes.
The funny thing is, I DID pre-soak all the seeds EXCEPT the wintersown ones! Very weird...and the 'Alaska Mix' nasturtiums are growing well indoors but not outdoors (they were soaked same as the 'Spitfire'.) I have no idea what to make of these results!
LOL...your "earworm" song won't stick to me. I used to watch the show when I was younger, but I never did like the theme song. It just didn't flow well (plus you "can't dance to it" :)
I didn't like that theme song either. :)
So are you having probs with ALL your seeds?
v.
Fortunately I'm NOT, in fact all of my 'Alaska Mix' nasturtiums have germinated and are growing well. (Guess the operative word is "Alaska" :)
