This has been a very weird growing season for me...personally, weather-wise, and now Blogger seems to have changed some things since I last posted....it's all kinda freaking me out. Anyhow, there have been veggies to harvest and enjoy here and there....
.......like these moderately hot volcano peppers I brought in the other day. Gizmo acted interested, so I gave him the opportunity to investigate. First he just took a tiny taste...
.....then an all-out chomp! He never made a sour face or anything, so I put it on the floor next to his food dish (where he quickly lost interest). Crazy kitty!

LOL, with cats, it's all about you serving them! ;-) I'm growing peppers this year, which look like those, but I thought they were supposed to be at least moderately spicy and they're not!! Boo!
Heh, you're absolutely right about the "logical" thinking of the feline! These peppers actually turned out a tad hotter than I thought they'd be, and I even picked them while they were fairly small.
BTW...you may grown 'Hungarian Wax' peppers, which look just like these but are much milder.
Penny will eat lettuce, spinach, toast, chips... We let her have lettuce once in awhile, and she licks the crumbs off the toaster.
The other one, not so much. She comes running when I open a can of tuna tho'.
Pets are so funny! Years ago I had a Siberian Husky who was an actual garden pest! She used to go pick her own tomatoes, melons, even corn-made me wonder if she had dietary deficiencies or just odd tastes. I suppose they are all as individual as we are.
lol re: Gizmo! And I thought that cats only ate green things if they wanted to disgust you with a hairball.. lol.
(btw, my Coco "picks" her own fruits and veggies, too--she loves tomatoes, beans and strawberries. She's part Alaskan Malamute--maybe it's something with sled dogs?!)
Heh, Giz coughs up one of those on occasion-with or without veggies! I bet the sled dog connection is the deal...foraging on the tundra, maybe?
Face it cats are strange creatures.
Word! ;-)
Love the photo of his little pink tongue. Can't believe you let him have a chomp.
Heh, I always figured that animals have keener senses about things (most of the time), so he ought to know what he wants. (Besides, it shouldn't do any harm really.) He enthusiastically finished off some spicy coconut curry chicken I made the other day too...I guess he just likes spicy food in general. (Like I do :)
:) Two of a kind!
LOL! I aspire to be as cool as he is! :)
