(My absence from Blogger for so long has been filled with days of vertigo too numerous to mention...I'll provide an update on the veggie planters, etc. ASAP. Thank goodness most plants take care of themselves pretty well! :)

Thank you Donna! I'm hoping to be back to normal (or at least improved) very soon. It must be really cool to see turkeys right in town...amazing how well some creatures adapt to urban settings.

How cool is that! A turkey in your backyard! We rarely see them around here anymore, and never on our property. I did see a roadrunner perched on my gate the other day though. :)

I wonder why you don't see as many turkeys? Urban sprawl, maybe? (Though they aren't too shy about town, usually.) I think a roadrunner would be wicked cool, though!

That was a mellow bird. Around here they take off before you can get a decent focus on them.
Life gets that way sometimes for sure! Frankly, this bird surprised me...they usually freak out here, too. (I'm sure being hunted doesn't help :)
