Friday Night Fights

It starts with a dirty look....

.....then another, with maybe a growl or a hiss thrown in....

....more glaring and posturing...

...then a bite!

Next some ducking and "rope-a-dope"...

....locked in battle! C'mon now, break it up and fight fair guys!

More biting, some shoving, hissing, and growling!

Who started this? "What?! Are you kidding?! Did you see him?! I certainly didn't start this!"
Well Bentley? "Hey, I can't be responsible for what happens when Gizmo hassles me! You didn't hear what he said! You would have bitten him too!"

Submitted to Friday Ark.

Hi Lisa, you have the funniest cats, way to give the play by play! I love the rope a dope, too much! HA

sounds like our house last night

Frances-Thank you! They're buddies most of the time, but they spar like this at least once a day. No flying fur or blood, so I figure the exercise is good for them! ;-)

Deb-Heh, was it the cats or the monkeys?

Oh wow, that sure is a cat fight!

lisa said...

Meemsnyc-It's tamer than it looks...the flash makes Gizmo's eyes look extra angry. :)

With four cats we get the odd squabble too, especially between the two males. They look like butter wouldn#t melt in their mouth in the last shot!

These boys like to box regularly, but never seem to hold a grudge. Sometimes it seems they are showing off just for me. :)

It's funny, I know the look on that cat's face very well! Happens around here at least once a day too.

My cats are constantly at it too. They're ALMOST worse than the kids. I hope they don't fight too much or this will be a LONG two week vacation!

On the bright side, at least they didn't do their fighting under the Christmas tree. Our cats have knocked over our tree a couple of times.

Karen-Isn't it just a hoot to watch them wrestle around? Like a bunch of rowdy teenagers or something.

Cinj-Heh, too bad the cats and kids can't keep EACH OTHER more busy and entertained, eh? I cheated to avoid Christmas tree debaucles-I didn't put one up. I guess with children at home it wouldn't be an option for you, though. :)

Ouch! The definitely need a good talking to in the peace and goodwill spirit to all (including cats). This I wish also for you and yours, Lisa. Merry Christmax

LOL. You know when they were locked up together they looked like one big fat cat.

Funny post.

Troutbirder-Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! Heh, I try to counsel these two, but they sure don't listen! :)

MrBrownThumb-LOL! That WOULD be one huge cat if you combined them!

They are so cute!! We have two dogs and they play fight very often. They have broken a couple of things but they have so much fun. Our old dog even though he is smaller than the young one always wins.

so great!!

Cliff-These two are fun to watch, sometimes it almost seems they are showing off. Heh, I'm not surprised that your older dog wins...you know what they say: Age and trechary will always win over youth and skill! ;-)

Joey-Thank you! When I first started trying to get pics of them wrestling, they'd always break it up right away. Now they just keep at it...guess they're "used to the paparazzi". :)
