Worm bin update, continued...so atop the food layer, I added the coffee from 56 used filters...

...then sprayed it with 31 oz. water from my handy little sprayer....

.....topped the wet stuff with 3 cups of my pre-mixed "fattening" feed. That's enough for now, I'll check back on them in a few days to mix things up and re-check moisture levels. I got about 2 cups of leachate from the very bottom bin with only one drowned worm...not too shabby! Until next time, wormikins! P.S.-if you'd like more worm bin details, feel free to search my labels section under "worm bin"...it has the lowdown from bin construction til' now! :)

It seems that your worms are happy except the one that drowned. What's next, swimming lessons? ;-)
Heh...not a bad idea! I wonder if they make life jackets for worms.... ;-)
I remember going nightcrawler hunting at night when I was a kid. They are fast, strong, and slippery but I got good at it and was even able to sell the worms during the summer for a little extra cash.
Good luck on yours!
Thanks Sylvana!
