Blooms for Wednesday bloom day....seems I'm always late for this, but anyhow...geranium 'Sambor'...
....annual...either new guinea impatiens or some sort of begonia (I get confused between the two sometimes and the tag is at home)...pretty nonetheless....
....deptford pink wildflower.......and this sassy salvia sticking its tongue out.....
....and finally dianthus. Not sure exact cultivar, but I got it from my mom, who just calls it "pinks". I love the blue foliage, and this lil' grasshopper seems to dig the flowers. Yay for summer!

Cute grasshopper! You had to be observant to spot him!

Wow... your 'Samobor'/'Sambor' is a lot more blue than mine is! Mine is more of a reddish purpled. I wonder why that is? (I love it both ways--and of course adore the foliage and am amused at growing anything with "widow" in the common name.)

The begonia (I'm pretty sure) is lovely. I didn't get any of those big-flowered ones this year and am kicking myself!

Thanks earlysnowdrop! I just love finding different bugs (unless they're eating my plants), and this one was too cute not to include in the picture!

Kim-I thought it was a begonia too. The geranium color probably varies slightly with soil conditions. I was unsure about that spelling...I thought it was Samabor, but when I did a lookup, it was spelled Sambor...? But whatever, it sure is pretty! Mine is wandering around, too-it sent up another plant about 2' away from the main one, and the "new" plant is in more sun! I guess it's trying to say "Move me, dammit!"

Lisa...I got your comment yesterday, and actually for Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day on the 15th of the months, you were one day early! All your blooms look great!

Lisa, I think that they just do that to screw with us. I've seen the tags both ways on that geranium. And the ninebark shrub I have is known as either "Diablo," "Diabolo," or "Monlo." (Sing it with me: One of these things is not like the other... *grin*)

Great blooms, Lisa! I just planted a cranesbill like yours...they called it Sambor here, also.

I need to buy some cransebill geraniums. The Samobor looks great. Wild colors on that impatiens/begonia.

Carol-early? I was EARLY?! Now that's a first! ;-)

Kim-heh...I've thought that myself...like one of my columbine's-the tag said 'Dal's Strain', and I've seen it as 'Dale's Strain'...how about "greenish columbine #3"?

Leslie-hope yours does as well as mine!

Ki-as with many plants, I've come to like geraniums so much, I'm starting a "collection"...it's a kind of "addiction substitution" with me-first it was a "daylily fixation"...then a "sedum impulse"...now a "ladyslipper problem"...it just goes on and on.. ;-)

Dig the Geranium 'Sambor'!
