Fall Cleanup...my grown son came out to help me trim the tree canopy, cut down some smaller trees, and mostly make sure I didn't hurt myself! My mom bought me an electric pole trimmer/saw, but made me promise not to use it alone. Honestly, I'm kinda scared of it, so no problem there....but I'm always glad to trim trees to let light in for my flower beds!

Thanks Blackswamp girl! I had my son when I was 20...and I'm 43 now. I guess I'm aging pretty well, mostly because I'm very immature! ;) Also, my fat fills in the wrinkles! Haha!
Ukbob...the water is actually the Menominee river, it's pretty deep and usually rather fast (depending upon whether the dams downstream are open or not.) I really love living on it, there are lots of beautiful waterfowl floating past, as well as eagles cruising overhead. The fishing is great, too-smallmouth bass, walleye, even sturgeon. And in the spring, the snapping turtles lay eggs in my yard...sometimes I feel like Jack Hanna could do an "Animals Adventures" show segment from my house!

Blackswamp girl is right, yet I remember your post on the Aerosmith concert and anyone that goes too listen to Aerosmith is of a certain age group. The picture you posted of your self just before going to the concert reminded me of going over to my friend’s house to pick them up. Very “de ja vu”. So, based on your interest in music and the photo I figured you for a fellow member of the “dazed and confused” generation ;-)

Afraid of the pole prunner? This coming from “she who builds giant fires”.

Heh...yea Trey, my fears don't make much sense to ME, either! Maybe it's my old "dazed and confused" experiences that give me images of blood and guts at the hands of the chainsaw. But oddly enough, I don't envision catching myself on fire...
