...."Really?!" Naw Gizmo, I'm just kidding. I'm simply frustrated with my slow internet connection, and busy with other things lately. But I'm excited for the upcoming growing season...
....particularly since the catalogs have begun pouring in. I mean, just look at this purple swiss chard!Plus I still want to blog about last year's season! I'm just rather overwhelmed lately, so if you can just bear with me.....okay Bentley?
"Zzzzzzzzzz" .........I'll take that as a "yes".

There is something truly theraputic about all these new catalogues. I especially like my Seed Savers one as I get a little history with each seed package. :)
I really enjoy Seed Savers, too. Last year I started my own gardening notebook by clipping seed descriptions that gave lots of helpful tidbits. So many go well beyond plant descriptions and cultural info to tell how to harvest, store, and use as well.
Great, now I NEED purple chard ;)
RIGHT?! It was in the Jung seed catalog, they have a PINK blueberry bush, too!
I have yet to try chard, but that purple is very pretty. You know it is my favorite color, right? I think I got that catalog the other day, though I get so many it's hard to keep track of them all...
I've grown to love chard more than spinach, even in scrambled eggs! It responds very well to "cut and come again" harvesting, too. Yea, I'm thinking purple chard would be perfect for your "color collection", along with purple carrots, Cherokee purple tomato....
We have a purple garden at the estate I work on (although quite a bit of red has crept in) the chard would be nice for that.
Sounds like a good idea to me!
