Baby corn 'Bonus' and summer squash 'Cocozelle' are coming along nicely....
...and the squash are delicious! I've harvested 5 so far, most at 6" or less....

...cute and tasty!
I got one cuke from the 'Tasty Jade' in this planter....
...and several beans from 'Royalty Purple Pod'.
This old grill became a garden on June 24th....
...after removing the lid, I filled it with dirt and planted little rows of: spinach 'Bloomsdale Long Standing', swiss chard 'Bionda Di Lyon', and spinach 'Bordeaux'.
They all germinated pretty quickly, I was already thinning them by July 1st.
My winter-sown and indoor started annual flowers are beginning their bloom, this is snapdragon 'Terra Cotta Mix'...
...and 'Pandora's Box' pansies (with a alpine strawberry 'Yellow Wonder' and alyssum 'Compacta'.)
This image doesn't do the bloom justice, it's actually much more colorful than it appears here. This is petunia 'Flambe'...

Love the photos of the squash. Bet it's tasty. Like how you put plants in that old toy truck. Cute.
Thanks! The truck is actually intended to be a planter, the lights are solar and come on at night. That's a great idea for some future planters though-toys! :)
Those cukes are so cute. One might even say "noggie" cute! Love the BBQ planter--it's hot (ha ha ha). What is that wheely thing int he one photo? Part of something else, some kind of farm equipment? Like it!
Nice crops!!
Monica-Thanks! "Hot" BBQ planter...LOL! The wheely thing is an old corn sheller that doesn't work, so it's "decorating" my yard! :)
Knatolee-Thanks!
OK, corn sheller. I love it! And I mistyped my own expression, which should have been noogie! :)
LOL! I got your meaning :) The sheller didn't cost too much, and I had it in the garage for a couple years. Since it doesn't work, I decided it looks better out here as yard art!
And to think I almost took my old bbq grill to the dump! Silly me...
YOU are the queen of re-purposing, my friend. :)
Your garden looks lush and beautiful. Those veggies look mighty tasty.
No deer problems this year?
v.
Why thank you! It's good to be queen :) So far (knock on wood) the deer have been held at bay by regular sprayings of Liquid Fence, about every 2-3 weeks.
