More of the same...our weather is still waffling between spring and not spring, but I sure don't have it as bad as some folks......but the wind has been relentless for a full week- "Surf's up! Cowabunga dudes" in the birdbath! Now this swampy area near the house almost looks like April, except the opaque water surface belies the icy temps...still encouraging because I see the light at the end of the tunnel....June is coming! : )

Is it me, or is the year flying by?! I feel like I just took down Christmas. Now it's freakin' post-Easter, and I'm lamenting missed spring garden opportunities. There's always next year.

Sweet picture of bird footsteps in the snow! (Hey, you could feed them some spiders--just an idea.)

Heh...yea, my son was a bit disappointed that most bloggers sided with Gizmo on the spider thing (can't say I'm surprised). But one day I wiil have a hairy poisonous arachnid friend all my own...and of course, everyone will get pictures! :)

We have those little bird tracks all over the yard, too. One day I went outside with the dog to discover the feeder empty and one lone set of tracks going to the side door as if to say, "Hey people! Come out and feed us!" (Okay, so maybe it wasn't really the bird, but my guilty conscience saying that! lol.)

That wasn't just your guilt, Kim...when my feeders get close to empty, the chickadees at my place definately carry on louder, and they even land quite close to me on the porch as I unlock the door coming in from work-they are scolding me to hurry and fill the feeders!

Hi Lisa! Enjoyed reading through your blog. Our weather has been crazy as well...certainly NOT the Spring I had hoped for but I suppose we'll have to make the best of it.

I have to mention that I'm in LOVE with the green-roofed farmhouse...amazing work they did on that. Would love to have seen the before!

Hope your temps warm up soon!

Thanks for stopping by, Linnie! I agree, if I'd paid for this spring weather, I'd want a refund! I thought that farm's buildings turned out way cool, too! Usually when they put siding on a farmhouse and barn, it loses character...I never knew unique accents like those even existed.

Really?!?!!!! Yikes! I'm going to make sure it's extra-full from now on, then, so I don't have to feel too badly. :)

Living down here near the Gulf Coast of Texas, our summers are hot and steamy. But many plants don't mind the heat, especially if they get afternoon shade. I still think March and April are my favorite gardening months, though.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I like your blog a lot.
