Mushroom farm update...so I check a couple weeks ago, and had more pinning and thought that I'd check progress a few days later-fungus gnats!! Damn! So those were the gnats I'd seen in the worm bin! Only in much smaller numbers, cuz' they were really there for the fungus.
So I put up a sticky trap, and look at all those things! Eeeewww!! So finally last weekend I couldn't take it-outside with the farm! I left it outdoors in freezing temps for 48 hrs., then brought it back in the house. Put up another sticky trap...that's more like it! Now to see if the mycelium recovers and sprouts more mushrooms...

I had wondered what a mushroom farm might be like! I think I'll just watch yours...lol!
Actually, this has been the first downside to my mushroom experience. I can see where a few gnats would really freak some folks out, though.
