Weekend snowstorm...weather forecasters take a lot of heat for inaccuracy, but when they're right, they're right! And with the snow flurries came bird flurries...of activity! The feeders looked like busy airport restaurants, with plenty of bickering and jostling for position. Makes me very happy that I feed them, on days like this they really seem to appreciate it!

Wow--great pictures of birds! I'm surprised to see so many of them out in the cold snow! But then I don't know much about living with snow.

Is that suet? Where do you get it? I bought some from the Audobon society but the birds didn't eat it and it just rotted. I like the idea of non-seed bird feed.

Thanks Chuck! I get my suet at Walmart or Menard's, it's the square cakes that are processed to NOT turn rancid. I have really good luck with them, especially the "peanut delight" variety. They're fairly cheap, too...like .89 each or so.

Interesting... suet must be more widely available in your neck of the woods. I don't have a Wal-Mart or Menard's anywhere nearby (Menard's?), but I think I would have seen suet for sale *some place*, but I never have. I'll check if I can buy it from Wal-Mart online.
