More hardiness tests...everybody knows sedums can be hardy and tough, so I wanna find out how tough! The green one is 'Acre', and the red is 'Dragon's Blood'...and I have plenty of both...so the resin face planter-stays on the wall! The puny little 4" pots on the cyclone fence-stay all winter! I'll show these plump little succulents what tough is! (Or plant new in the spring... :)

I never know what I'm going to find you up too when I visit your blog Lisa. It will be interesting to see how the tests go. What sort of temperatured would you expect in the Winter?
Sometimes stretches of -20 f....I'm really pushing it with these succulents, but snowcover usually insulates pots on the ground just fine, so we'll see...
Very cool... I love all of your experiments, and can't wait to hear about how these turn out!
Thanks Kim...I'm looking forward to results, too! Funny how I'm so tough on these defenseless little succulents, but plan to put "bush jackets" on my forsythias and azealia to protect them and encourage bloom! Fun to experiment in the garden, kinda like a lifelong biology class.
Hey there, I thoroughly like reading your website and I was wondering if there could be a method I can join so that I get an email everytime you create a brand new post. I can not see an RSS button or an email form, but possibly I just missed it. At any rate, keep up the remarkable posts.
Thank you! I have a "subscribe in a reader" button just below the "Project Feeder Watch" banner in the left-hand margin. I'm a tad "techno-slow", but I'd like to have a few subscription options at the bottom of each post eventually :)
